Carnaby Rise Primary School is one of Western Australia’s newest Independent Public Schools’ having opened in 2017 with a growing student population of Kindergarten to Year 6 students.
The school is one of the first-ever WA Schools Public Private Partnership (PPP) schools designed, built, financed and maintained by project company EduWest.
While the partnership is a very different way of delivering education facilities in this State, some fundamental things do not change.
Students’ education at the school remains the responsibility of the State Government through the Department of Education, and principals, teachers and support staff are employed by the Department of Education as they are in all public schools.
What it does mean for the school though is the principal and staff are only required to focus on the core business of education and not the day to day running of the school facility.
The school is committed to developing a culture of ‘High Care and Performance’ by working collaboratively with the school community to provide a learning environment that is positive and underpinned by a strong set of values.
Our learning programs are based upon what research clearly states works in our context and includes:
1. Whole School planning and approaches
2. The use of common data collection instruments
3. The identification of highly-effective practice that is evidence-based
4. Implementation of science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics (STEAM)
5. Intervention strategies that include students with disabilities; gifted and talented programs; and mathematics
Positive relationships are developed and maintained through good communication. With the support of this website and Connect we aim to ensure you are kept well informed.
